Creative Idea of the Week: Feb. 16th - Lined Envelopes

Do you love the look of lined envelopes but do not want to pay a fortune for them? Look no further than today's blog entry! :) I have found a simple, creative way to easily add liners to your wedding invitation envelopes...

1. Find 8 1/2x11 pieces (sheets) of vellum in a color that coordinates with your overall color scheme. **vellum can be purchased from your local craft or stationary supply store - or try online!

2. Place your envelope (face side down) on a table. Then place one sheet of vellum inside the envelope.

3. Trace on the vellum around the edges of the envelope (be sure to allow space for the seal to be moistened and properly sealed!)

4. Cut out the vellum to be placed inside the envelope. **Tip - use this first piece as a "template" to use to quickly cut the rest of your vellum pieces.

5. Using double-sided tape, place two pieces in between the envelope and the vellum cut-out - one on each side of the envelope flap.

6. Carefully tuck the rest of the vellum piece inside the envelope.

7. Ta-Da! You're done! What a great way to add simple elegance and a dramatic effect to your invitations! Your guests will be impressed. :)
